About Dr. Nigel Jones

Dr Jones is currently Chief Medical Officer for British Cycling, having led medical strategy and delivery across both the Tokyo and Paris Olympic cycles, and now preparing for LA 2028. His previous roles include Team Doctor for England Men’s Senior Rugby Union, Medical Officer at Liverpool Football Club, and consultant to the British Boxing Board of Control and the English Institute of Sport. He also holds academic and leadership positions, including Honorary Senior Lecturer at Liverpool University and former Chair roles within both BASEM and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine.
